Demand signals: tenders and grants by industry
原文为英文,翻译即将上线。
Demand signals — live tenders and grants matched to our supplier index
Territory: Russia / EAEU (owner decision 2026-10-06). In-territory demand = 1 tender(s): 44-FZ — Procurement of 2000L bioreactors ($800K). The other 2 tenders and all 46 grant calls are outside Russia/EAEU (EU TED, US SAM.gov, EC/CBE JU/UKRI/NSF grants) and are kept below only as market context. This snapshot has no zakupki.gov.ru capture yet — a direct 44-FZ/223-FZ capture is the missing demand source.
/tenders/and/grants/screens captured intoasia_biotech_research/data/bioecon/tenders.jsonandgrants.json(2026-09-30), joined toALL_COMPANIES.csv. The captures were transcribed by hand from the live screens — spot-check values and deadlines against the live screen before acting on them.Deadlines are shown as they were on the capture date (days remaining), so they age; re-capture before use. bioecon itself offers a “Match suppliers” link per signal — this is the same join run against our 1,813-company index instead of theirs.
Tenders — live procurement (someone is buying now)#
3 open at capture. These are the strongest calls-to-action in the vault: a deadline is a reason to contact a supplier this week. Note the two-tier read: the mentions column counts active companies whose card mentions the product (users included); the vetted bidders line is the hand-checked shortlist of companies whose own card shows they supply the equipment. Where that line is empty, the honest answer is that our index cannot serve the tender.

Where the mapped money goes#
Known call values only (several EU calls do not display a value), grouped by the rubric they
map to. This is funding directed at substitution, not market size — a different signal from
MARKET-SIZE.md, and the two should be read together.

Not supplier-relevant#
10 further calls fund people, papers or policy work rather than suppliers (fellowships, internships, doctorates, policy hubs, bioterrorism, AI advice). Recorded so the exclusion is a decision, not an oversight:
- UKRI — UKRI policy internships 2026
- UKRI — Sector transition: UKRI policy fellowships 2026
- European Commission — Bio-based innovation in society: supporting the sustainable way of living
- European Commission — Bioeconomy policy support hub for Member States, regions and sectors
- UKRI — Early independence: BBSRC fellowships: full stage
- U.S. National Science Foundation — Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in Biology
- UKRI — Doctoral focal award: UKRI venture doctorates: outline stage
- European Commission — Prevention and mitigation of misuse of synthetic biology for bioterrorism purposes
- European Commission — International dimension of the circular bio-based economy: seeking win-win opportunities
- European Commission — Towards a Europe of Bioeconomy Places
Method and limits#
- Rubric matching uses the explicit keyword rules in this file (
RULES); a call can map to several rubrics. Out-of-scope detection is likewise rule-based — check both before trusting a row. - Tender product matches search each company’s own card text (Focus / Profile / website sections
via
tools/rubrics.card_text), the same evidence standard the article supplier tables use. - Values are summed as displayed; the screens mix $, € and £ without FX conversion, so the per-rubric totals are indicative ordering, not accounting.
- Deadlines were captured as days remaining and age immediately; re-capture before acting.
- The captures are hand-transcribed from the live screens and have not been independently verified against the underlying tender/grant portals.
