Zytex is an Indian biotechnology company specializing in the development and manufacturing of enzymes, probiotics, and microbial-based solutions for industries including textiles, human and animal nutrition, agriculture, aquaculture, and industrial waste treatment. Founded in 1996, the company operates out of Mumbai, India, with major fermentation and manufacturing facilities in Vadodara and Silvassa.
The company remains active in 2026, recently participating in industry events such as Vitafoods Asia and the GGMA National Garment Fair. While some sources cite 1996 as the founding year for its biotech operations, the group traces its origins to 1947 under the name Arun & Co. Zytex is a privately held, unfunded entity.
