Unitika Ltd. is a Japanese manufacturer founded in 1889 that specializes in polymer and fiber-related technologies, including films, resins, glass fibers, and activated carbon fibers. Headquartered in Osaka, the company is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (code 3103).
As of 2026, Unitika is active and undergoing a major business restructuring plan supported by the Regional Economy Vitalization Corporation of Japan (REVIC). This plan involves withdrawing from unprofitable businesses, such as non-woven fabrics and parts of its industrial fibers segment, to focus on high-value-added functional products. In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, the company reported net sales of 118.6 billion yen and an operating profit of 10.5 billion yen. The company has strengthened its capital base through a third-party allotment of shares to REVIC.
