Rongbient Biotech is an active, privately held aquaculture startup founded in 2023 and headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with operations in Cà Mau. The company integrates seaweed cultivation into shrimp farming through a polyculture model, using red seaweed (Gracilaria) as both a bio-filtration system to purify water and a fermented feed additive to improve shrimp immunity, growth, and survival rates.
The company is led by founder Cuong (CK) Ha and employs a small team. It operates as a for-profit entity and has received support from accelerators including MassChallenge, BLOCK71, and the International University of Monaco. As of early 2026, Rongbient is scaling its operations, including the launch of a 10-hectare seaweed cultivation and bio-filtration project and the assembly of a processing plant.
