Namdhari Seeds Private Limited (NSPL), incorporated in 1985 and headquartered in Bengaluru, India, is an active, privately held agribusiness specializing in the breeding, production, and distribution of hybrid vegetable, flower, and field crop seeds. The company operates as a value-chain integrated player, managing R&D, contract seed production, and fresh produce retail through its subsidiary, Namdhari Agro Fresh Private Limited.
NSPL maintains a portfolio of over 500 commercialized hybrids and operates across 200,000 hectares. Its R&D utilizes advanced techniques like tissue culture and marker-assisted selection. In February 2025, NSPL acquired the US-based open-field vegetable seed business of Axia Seeds, now operating as Namdhari USAgriseeds Inc.
The company is led by Chairman Satguru Uday Singh and Group CEO Gurmukh Singh Roopra. As of August 2025, it employed 1,011 personnel. Financial performance for FY2024 showed revenue between ₹500 crore and ₹1,000 crore. While the seed business remains a strong, profitable core, the retail subsidiary (Simpli Namdhari’s) has faced persistent operating losses, leading the group to explore strategic options for that segment in 2025.
