简介
NAAFCO Group is a privately held Bangladesh-based chemical manufacturing and agribusiness group that provides crop nutrition, plant protection, seeds, human health (pharma), animal nutrition & health (agrovet), consumer products, and environment; it started in 1984, founded by the late chairman Mr. M Shamsul Huda, and is headquartered in Dhaka (Suvastu Tower, Panthapath). Core products include NPKS/organic compost fertilizers, pesticides (formulated/repacked in-house), and seed varieties (F1 hybrids and contract-grown rice/HYVs), plus a cGMP human-medicine plant launched in 2015 (tablets/capsules/pellets/liquids) and contract pharma manufacturing; Shetu Pesticides began agrochemical repacking commercial production in 2020. Scale: ~244 employees (LinkedIn, 2026-06-23); cropcare aggregate production/packaging capacity ~7,000 M.T./year (Shetu AgriSolutions page). Distribution is via SEMCO depots in 11 locations with ~1,000 distributors and ~25,000 retailers, supported by vehicle fleets and ERP/ERP rollouts. 2025–2026 developments shown: Shetu AgriSolutions/related activities continue (e.g., fire-drill training in Oct 2025, LEED Platinum factory announcement in Nov 2025); the group is clearly still active.
