简介
Mahyco (Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Company) is an Indian seed producer founded in 1964 that specializes in the research, development, production, and marketing of hybrid and open-pollinated seeds for field and vegetable crops. Headquartered in Jalna, Maharashtra, the company is a pioneer in Indian agricultural biotechnology, notably commercializing the country’s first Bt cotton in 2002.
The company remains active as of September 2026. It operates as a private entity with over 1,200 employees and reported annual revenue exceeding ₹1,000 crore as of March 2025. Mahyco has raised $29 million in funding, including a 2019 investment from the International Finance Corporation to support international expansion through its subsidiary, Mahyco International. Recent developments include a licensing partnership with Paryan in India announced in October 2025.
