Kolon Industries (Korea) is an advanced materials and chemicals company spanning Advanced Mobility Solution, Specialty Materials, Chemical resins, Engineering Plastics (e.g., POM/compounds), and Fashion. It supplies automotive materials/components (airbags including cushion, car seats/interior materials, synthetic suede/artificial leather, tire reinforcement materials), high-performance materials (heat resistance, ballistic protection, electronic materials), chemical resins/adhesives/tackifiers, and engineering plastics; it also developed CPI© for flexible displays and transparent polyimide films for foldable displays. Founded April 12, 1957; headquarters in Magok, Seoul. It is a listed company on the Korea Stock Exchange as Kolon Industries (120110.KS); major shareholder is Kolon Corp. (about 33.43% common stock as of Jun. 30, 2026). In 1H 2026, it reported revenue 2.5939 trillion won, operating profit 160.7 billion won, and net profit 145.7 billion won. Latest 2025–2026: merged with Kolon ENP in 2026; in 2025 merged Kolon Glotech’s automotive materials/components business into Kolon Industries. In 2026 it completed a polyurethane artificial leather line expansion in Gimcheon (24.1 billion won investment), commercialized low-carbon polyacetal (Kocetal Eco-E) from renewable-energy-based feedstock, and increased production capacity for mPPO for AI server copper-clad laminates; it is active and reporting ongoing operations and expansion in Sep 2026.
