Kaneka Corporation is a Japanese chemical manufacturer established on September 1, 1949, with headquarters in Tokyo and Osaka. It operates as a diversified company focused on life sciences, material solutions, and quality-of-life technologies. Its core business includes the production of the biodegradable polymer Green Planet (PHBH), medical devices, pharmaceuticals, performance polymers, and food products.

Kaneka is actively expanding its Green Planet production, including plans for a demonstration plant by 2030 and ongoing research into CO2-based feedstocks.
