Fermenstation Co., Ltd. is a Japanese biotech company upcycling food loss/food waste and other unused biomass into ethanol and functional bio-based ingredients using proprietary microbial fermentation (with enzyme/microbial libraries and an in-house R&D-to-production workflow). It develops/produces ethanol and fermented food materials, and also provides cosmetics/home-care ingredient OEM/ODM; it has an organic clean beauty brand and uses JAS/USDA NOP/ECOCERT COSMOS certifications for its organic rice ethanol. Founded July 7, 2009; head office in Funabashi, Chiba (Tokyo lab also listed). Manufacturing/pilot sites include Yokohama (pilot) and Oshu, Iwate (factory).
