简介
Epinity is the brand for AGC Vinythai Public Company Limited’s 100% bio-based epichlorohydrin (ECH), produced in Thailand at the Map Ta Phut plant on Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong, commissioned in 2012, with capacity of 120,000 tonnes/year, using renewable glycerine (a by-product from vegetable oil transformation/biodiesel and oleochemical production). Epinity is a drop-in replacement for petro-based ECH and is mainly used as a precursor to epoxy resins (e.g., protective coatings, electronics, adhesives, composites), plus other chemical intermediates/applications. ABT (the producer) has operated since Feb 2012; AGC Vinythai was formed on 1 July 2022 via integration. Headquarters address is No. 2, I-3 Road, Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong, Thailand; offices include Bangkok. AGC Vinythai has ~1,165 employees (year-end 2023) and reported total revenues THB 48,431 million for 2023. Major shareholders: AGC Inc. and PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited. Latest 2025-2026: the epinity website has active pages with a 2025-07-23 “Contact us” update, and no 2025-2026 indication of discontinuation; the ABT transfer to AGC Vinythai occurred on 3 July 2023 without affecting epinity operations.
