简介
DaNAgreen is a Seoul-based biotechnology startup founded in 2017 by Ki-Woo Kim, Jenna Ju, and Jay Jee. The company specializes in 3D cell-culture scaffolds, specifically its proprietary Protinet technology, which uses crosslinked proteins to support cell growth for biomedical research and cultured meat production.
The company is active and currently focused on commercializing fish-based cultured meat. In August 2025, it became the first company to apply for food safety approval from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) for scaffold-based cultured fish. It aims for final approval in 2026 to begin distribution.
DaNAgreen operates a pilot plant in Seoul’s Gasan Digital Complex, which holds HACCP and ISO 22000 certifications. The company’s sole strategic investor is Hanwha Solutions. As of late 2024, the company reported 14 employees and annual revenue of approximately 33.55 million KRW. It maintains a Singaporean subsidiary, DANAGREEN PTE. LTD., incorporated in 2022.
