简介
Bontac Bio-Engineering (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. is a high-tech synthetic biology enterprise specializing in enzyme catalysis for the production of coenzymes, natural products, sugar substitutes, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and medical intermediates. Founded in July 2012 and headquartered in Shenzhen, China, the company is led by founder and chief scientist Dr. Cheung.
Bontac is recognized as a leader in the NMN industry, having developed China’s first whole-enzyme catalysis technology. Its core technology involves a proprietary enzyme library of over 2,000 varieties and a directed evolution platform. The company operates a 16,000-square-meter production base in Zhongshan and is currently expanding its manufacturing capacity, including a second 100-ton coenzyme production base and a natural products factory in Fuyang.
The company is active as of September 2026, with recent developments including the October 2025 designation as a national-level Specialized, Refined and Innovative Little Giant enterprise. Bontac holds over 200 patent applications and maintains international certifications such as FSSC 22000 and US FDA SELF GRAS. It is a private entity; while it has undergone reorganization involving Qifu Capital, it remains an independent operator in the synthetic biology sector.
