Balrampur Chini Mills Limited (NSE: BALRAMCHIN; BSE: 500038) is an integrated sugar company that also produces ethanol/distillery products and generates power via bagasse cogeneration. It has 10 sugar factories in Uttar Pradesh with 80,000 TCD cane crushing capacity, 5 distilleries with 1,050 KLPD distillery capacity, and saleable cogeneration capacity of 175.7 MW; it is also building an 80,000 TPA Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) plant in progress. Founded in 1975; registered office is in Kolkata (FMC Fortuna, 234/3A A.J.C. Bose Road, Kolkata 700020). Equity is actively traded on both BSE and NSE; promoter group holds ~42.86% (as of 30-Sep-2025). In 2025-26 it reported progress on PLA (construction ongoing; ~Rs. 1,093 crore spent by 31-Oct-2025) and plans PLA commissioning in Q3FY27, with board approval to raise Rs. 450 crore via preferential equity shares. Company is active as it filed results presentations through Q3FY26 (Feb 2026). Key customers/partners: PLA go-to-market includes “Bioyug on Wheels” (launched May 2025) with institutional orders such as Lucknow Cantonment Board (compostable bags, PLA bottles, 3D-printed PLA pens, folders) and ongoing trials with 30+ projects.
