简介
Alterpacks is a Singapore-based materials technology company that upcycles food and agricultural waste, such as spent grains and wheat husks, into high-performance, home-compostable packaging. Founded in 2019 by CEO Karen Cheah, the company is headquartered in Singapore and remains an active, private entity.
Core products include freezer- and microwave-safe food containers and bowls. The company also develops bio-pellets and fiber additives for industrial manufacturing. Alterpacks operates a B2B model, serving clients like Crystal Jade, FairPrice, and various medical institutions.
The company raised US$1 million in pre-seed funding led by Plug and Play APAC and SEEDS Capital. As of late 2025, it continues to scale, having completed medical waste pilots in Indonesia and expanded its product applications.
