Agricultural Chemicals (M) Sdn. Bhd. (ACM) is a Japanese-Malaysian joint-venture that develops, formulates, manufactures, and distributes agrochemicals plus sells farm machinery and public-health/environmental health products. Founded in 1969, its HQ is in Perai, Penang (with manufacturing facilities there) and it also runs a 62-acre Selama Research Centre (SRC) in Selama, Kedah. Shareholders: Nihon Nohyaku Co., Ltd., Marubeni Corporation, and Pertubuhan Peladang Kebangsaan (NAFAS). It makes insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, rodenticides, acaricides, fertilizers/bio-fertilizers, plant growth regulators, molluscicides and public health insecticides, including multiple formulation types (e.g., wettable powder, flowable, liquid, tablet, cube) and contract/toll formulation. For machinery, ACM is sole agent in Malaysia for MARUYAMA and sole distributor in Malaysia for JACTO, and it has a patented precision granular broadcaster STROBIPIPE. Exports include Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Myanmar, Taiwan, Cambodia, Sri Lanka.
